This morning we had our meeting about the semester at UBP. How classes here were different from the USA, etc. Basically the biggest difference is that they have automatic exam exemptions if you make above a certain grade on all of your tests and don’t miss more than a certain number of classes. So that’s really nice! Then we had a special class with a dean of the college. He talked to us about the education system in Argentina – problems, advantages, etc. Then we had a meeting about the trip to Buenos Aires (woohoo!) and filled out some surveys for CRI.
Tomorrow we have our final exam for the semester Language and Culture class, and Allyson and I are getting together tonight to work on our oral presentation on the tourism regions of Argentina. It’s a perfect topic, for two reasons: (1) it’s on the exam, so we have to study it anyway, and (2) because that way we get to plan where we want to go this semester!
