I finally got up around 9:00 am this morning. I ate breakfast and then took a LONG, hot shower. I felt so much better! Then I talked to Andrew for a while and ate lunch.
After lunch, Jorge went with me to the cell phone store. Because I realized yesterday that (a) my phone STILL doesn’t have service! and (b) there are already phone numbers – that aren’t mine – stored in the phone. So Jorge called the stored number titled “Casa” – “House” – and got a guy named Daniel who says it’s his cell phone that was stolen! WTF?! So Jorge went with me to the place, where they freaked out and said that the phone had come from the company depository downtown. But when they looked on the side of the box to check the serial number, it was whited out and written over. It did match the log entry, but that means that someone, somewhere before it got to the depository substituted a different phone. This place is unreal! So they said that they would activate it today and that I should use the phone this week until they could get me another one. But I have no idea what they are going to do with this one... Lord.
Then I came home and hung out for a while. It’s around 6:30 pm now, and I’m about to go BACK to the Movistar cell phone place because my phone STILL isn’t working! This is so ridiculous. And Vero and Jorge and Valentina are spending the night at Vero’s mom’s house tonight, so they aren’t here either. Argh...
Okay so now it’s 8:30 pm and I just got back from Movistar, and... CHAN! My cell phone still doesn’t work! What a load of crap. I just called Vane to see if she wanted to get together for dinner but she has plans with some of the other kids from the program, so. Allyson’s not at home, she went with Jessica to go shopping. So I guess I’m gonna eat here by myself... There’s a party at Vicky (from CRI)’s house tonight for Julian’s birthday, but I don’t know if I’m going to go. Vane’s going to call me when they leave for the party, so I can call a remis if I feel like going, but right now I don’t feel like doing anything but getting on a plane and coming back home. And if Andrew was going to be there, I’d already be at the airport.
