Yeah, that's right. PARAGLIDING WAS AMAZING! Click HERE for more pics and some videos!

It was a good thing we didn’t go dancing last night! We had to check out of our rooms by 11:00 am, so we got up around 9:00 am. We had coffee at the hostel and met back up with the kids from last night, who were leaving today to go to Buenos Aires. One of them lives in the same neighborhood as Maru’s cousin in Barcelona! It’s a small world. Anyway, then our group split up... Christina and Jordan went to return their ski equipment – they had planned to ski for two days, but the slopes weren’t very good. Amelia and a few others went out to breakfast. The rest of us walked over to the excursions office with Christina and Jordan and then ate an early lunch at a nearby café. They had amazing food! But we think that Allyson’s camera got stolen there... Amelia and her group went there for lunch after we had left, and someone tried to steal Amelia’s bag, but she noticed and stopped them.

After lunch, we got on the bus to do parapente! I was so nervous but also really excited. We drove about 20 minutes outside the city to a small “landing platform”. There weren’t enough guides for us to all go at once, so we had to go in two groups. I waited until the second group. It was so cool to see them drifting down from the top of the mountain! Some of them got to do acrobatics – twirls, spins, things like that.

Once the first group had finished and the truck had come back down the mountain, it was our turn to go up. It was a 25 to 30 minute drive up the hairpin turns and switchbacks on the road to the top of the mountain. I am not a heights person (surprise!) so it was really freaking me out. At one point we were lurching back and forth right next to a huge precipice, and I did my fantastic laughing-hysterical-crying act. But I calmed down after a minute and it was all good. When we finally got to the top of the mountain, we had to split into two groups again. Allyson, Jen and I decided to wait until last. We watched Christina, Leah and Jessica get their harnesses on and get ready to go. It was so cool! After they launched, we waited another hour for the guides to come back up the mountain. It was SO cold!

Then our guides finally showed back up... I was so cold and so scared that I was shaking! But I got strapped in to the harness and started running – off the cliff. Ahhh! But I did it! We jumped off the mountain and settled into the harness. For the first few minutes, I had to keep forcing myself to open my eyes. After that, I relaxed and had some fun! My guide helped me do some acrobatics, including a huge spiral that got faster and faster as we went. It was amazing! We had about 15 minutes in the air and then landed on the field in front of the rest of the group. Ahhh! So yeah, I jumped off a cliff today. Boo-yah! You know you’re jealous!!!

After parapente, we were all freezing cold and super pumped up on adrenaline, so we took the bus back to the hostel, met up with the kids who didn’t want to go, and went to dinner. Dinner was good, but we were a little pressed for time! We ran back to the hostel, grabbed our bags, and called some taxis. We made it to the bus station by 9:50 for a 10:00 pm bus to Córdoba, so we were fine.

"I hope you never fear those mountains in the distant
Never settle for the path of lest resistance
Liven might mean taken chances, but, there worth taken
Liven' might be a mistake but its worth making
Don’t let some hell bent heart leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out reconsider
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance”
