Carmen, one of the girls from school (who also lives in Urca, not too far from my house)
School at 10 am for the asado de bienvenidos (welcome lunch). I met my tutor, Pilar. She seems very nice but talks extremely fast. We played games like musical chairs and this extremely fun game where you get partners, one partner ties a balloon to their leg, and the partners link elbows and chase other groups and try to pop other balloons without losing theirs. It was excellent fun. Then we had lunch, un asado, grilled meat and sausage and all kinds of good things. Argentina is famous for this.
After I came home from school, we had dinner with my (real) parents and my host family and their friends Lucas and Ceci (Cecilia). It was interesting trying to translate between my parents and my host family, but it was fun.
Valentina had a little fever while my parents were here, but after they left it spiked up to 40* C, which is really high (like 100* F). So she is really sick and very pitiful.
