I can’t believe it’s almost the end of August! In another week, I will have been here for 2 months! That’s crazy. Time flies when you’re having fun!
This morning I got up and worked on my Typography project. Again. But hey – slow and steady wins the race, right? I should be able to finish it this weekend with no problem. I also got to talk to Andrew for a little bit! His Internet hates me, so he keeps getting kicked off, but it was nice to talk for a while. Then I made some pasta for lunch and went to school.
We have two history professors – one is José, who also works in CRI, and is absolutely hilarious. The other one, I don’t know her name but she reminds me of my middle school Social Studies teacher at Greenville Middle, Mrs. Seay (?). Except in Spanish. Which means that she’s awesome. Some of the kids think she is really boring, but I think she’s really good because she really follows these themes from all the way back to the beginning of history to now.
Then we had Spanish class. We actually had a lot of fun in there today – everyone had a lot of energy, I guess. We have to do a partner presentation on a famous person from Argentina for next Thursday. I’m working with Allyson, and we’re doing some famous doctor. It should be pretty easy.
After class, I stayed for 2 hours and did the computer part of my Typography project. It wouldn’t have taken so long except that like 45 mins in I wasn’t saving my work and I lost everything. Oops. Dad would KILL me for not saving! LOL But it’s finally done!!!! I have a little more cutting and pasting to do on the manual part – probably an hour and half, two hours worth. But the main part is DONE!
Then I came home and Allyson came over to get the notes from Literature. We have an essay due Monday, and she missed the class because her parents were here from the USA so she was with them. She left right about dinner time, and then I ate dinner with Jorge, Vero and Valentina. Valentina is SO cute. She was showing me how princesses eat (with a fork, apparently).
I decided to go to bed pretty early tonight, even though I don’t have school tomorrow, because I really want this sinus infection to be cleared up over the weekend. The more sleep, the better!
