Wow, I can’t believe it’s already October! Sorry I haven’t updated this week, things have been pretty busy. Sunday I went to a protestant church in my neighborhood, and it was really amazing! I made friends with some of the girls already. The kids in the Young Adult group are mostly in their early to mid twenties, which is perfect. After church I came home, did some more studying and just relaxed.
Monday I did aerobics, went to Literature, and went to Tango (terrible as usual... we only have one more class before our exposition on Oct 20th because we have a holiday the Monday after next... That’s the weekend I’m going on the cabalgata! Woohoo. But yeah, so our exposition is probably going to be interesting. To put it nicely. LOL). Right after Tango I went to Kung Fu, which was fantastic. We worked on some reflex training, some self-defense and I learned a little more of the first form. That’s such a great class.
Tuesday I went to horseback riding – we were jumping again, which I was REALLY scared of last week, but it ended up going really well! I absolutely love the horse I had. Unfortunately so does everyone else, so we have to share. After that, I went to History. I got a 10/10 on my history midterm, which I’m really excited about! Then Spanish – we were all really hyper and distracted, because it was beautiful outside, so we didn’t get a lot done. We should find out our midterm grades tomorrow. After class I went with Amy and Leah to Grido, my favorite Argentinian ice cream place (but it’s not as good as Marble Slab!). Then I went to the grocery store, came home and changed clothes, and met up with the girls from church for a very relaxed Bible study. It was honestly more like a few hours of hanging out with good friends, and then a nice devotion and prayer at the end. They are SO great, and three of the girls room together in an apartment a few blocks away, so that’s really exciting!
Today I took my Technology midterm. I had studied for it a good bit, so I think it went really well. Then I ate lunch at school, went to aerobics with Mary Marshall and then to Lit. After class I got to work on my Typography project a little bit... We have to make a poster for an event, it’s very fun. Then I came home, changed clothes and went to Tae Kwon Do. I really am enjoying that class, even though it’s a bunch of little kids. The teacher really knows what she’s doing, and the kids are SO cute. I didn’t end up going to Kung Fu because the bus never showed up... I waited for an hour and then went home. But oh well, I’m pretty tired anyway. :-)
So far I don’t have any big plans for this weekend... There’s a National Festival in Villa General Belgrano this weekend that I might go to on Friday – that’s the German immigrant village that has the little alpine houses. You should Google it, it’s really cute. I also have my visit to the English classes that are taught at the UBP on Saturday morning – that should be fun. Hopefully I’m going to be working with them a lot more next semester. But I guess we’ll see how this weekend goes first! I have my Typography midterm on Monday, so I’m going to need some time to study for that as well... At least it’s my last one!
Andrew got "temporarily transferred" again - supposedly just for this week, but we'll see, so I haven't talked to him. Make sure you are keeping him in your thoughts and prayers. :-)
