So yesterday, I skipped class to sleep in (oooOOOooo). But my excuse is that, hey. I have a sinus infection. I need to sleep a little. Anyway, I did get up in time to go to Lit, which was great as usual.
After Lit, Allyson came over and we watched High School Musical 2 - in Spanish, but the songs were in English, so it was all right - on her laptop while cooking waffles. Thank you daddy for resolving my waffle maker issue! We ended up just plugging it in on the higher current for short amounts of time - after looking up on Howitworks.com the effect of increased voltage on home appliances. It turns out voltage is a rather complicated thing. But hey, we managed.
The waffles were a huge success! Gabi and Fer came over to try them, and Jorge and Veronica loved them. I put chocolate chips in them, and we used real American crap sugar syrup. Who can resist? (They do have Canadian maple syrup here, but it's very strong and thick and... maple.)
Today I am packing for the four-day trail ride in the jungle!!! What, you say? Yes, my four-day trail ride from Tucuman (where I went with school, there are pics on Photobucket) up into the jungle around Selva and Jujuy (even farther north). We leave tomorrow at 10 am from the place where I take horseback riding - we're carpooling to Tucuman, so we'll be in the car for about 8 hours on Friday. Then we get to Tucuman, get our horses and head out. We're camping every night and making asado for dinner. It's going to be absolutely incredible!
