So wow another week has passed... I can’t believe it! It was absolutely gorgeous, practically summertime toward the end of last week, but on Friday it got cold again. It’s supposed to warm up some today and tomorrow. I’m so tired of winter!
It was a good week though. Thursday night I went out dancing with Amelia, Vane, Vicky, Bryan, Leah, Amy and Trey. That was really fun! Then Friday I stayed in and studied for my Typography midterm. Saturday morning I visited the English classes at the UBP... I’m trying to get them to employ me as a Level 5 – English Conversation teacher next semester. We’ll see how that goes. Then after I visited them, I got on a bus to Villa Belgrano, the German immigrant town. They had Oktoberfest this weekend! It was really cute. I spent the day there with Jordan, Mary Marshall, Leah, Christina, Anne, Cayley and Cassi (from Canada), and Barbara (from Germany – she says it’s not at all the same, but it was fun anyway). We went bungee jumping and did some shopping... Check out the pictures of us all dressed up in our little hats carrying our steins. :-) Anyway, then Sunday I went to church again. It’s such a great church! I’m going to small group with the girls again tonight.
Yesterday I took my Typography exam... I think I did pretty well on it. It was hard to concentrate, because half the class was making up the exam and the other half was doing a critique, so everyone was talking. But I think it went well. Then Lit and Tango – our tango / horseback riding expo is on Oct 20th, so we’ll see how that goes. Then Kung Fu, my favorite!
And I talked to Maggie for like 2 hours on Skype!!! There are some friends that I really wish I could just bring down here... There is so much fun stuff to see in Argentina! I’m not ready to go home, but I would love to show you around. ;-)
Today I went back to the doctor because I have another sinus infection... He said after I get this one cleared up I have to come back so they can run some analyses to see if I maybe have an immunodeficiency or something. I went to the pharmacy, spent $55 and got my medicine: an anti-fiebral / anti-inflammatory, an antibiotic, some stuff to gargle to keep the mucus out of my throat, and some Vitamin C tablets. I honestly don’t think it’s a lack of Vitamin C, because I’ve been drinking a half-liter of 100% orange juice every morning – for the Vitamin C. Oh well, who knows. Personally, I think I’m just allergic to the cold weather...
