Tonight I got to Cordoba at around 9:00 pm. Flor came to pick me up at the airport. She is the redheaded girl who did Kung Fu with me last semester. I am staying with her until the 1st of March, when my regular host family comes back from vacation. Her brother, Gonzalo, is working in Aspen, Colorado as a ski instructor, so they have an extra room until he comes back on March 20th. She has a younger sister, Luciana, who’s 15 and absolutely cute. She kind of reminds me of Danielle. Flor’s parents are both chemists of some sort... Her dad works in a research facility, and her mom works developing products for orthodontics. They are very nice!

I was really tired from the plane... I don’t know why! I slept like 6 hours on the flight. Maybe more. But I slept until after noon today. When I finally got up, I hung out with Luciana for a while. For dinner, we all went to Flor’s grandmother’s house. Her uncle Bernardo was turning 40, so we had a birthday dinner for him. I met Flor’s grandmother Elba and her cousins Carolina, Bernardito, and Daniela, and their mom Susana. Daniela brought her boyfriend, Victor, who goes to UBP. So that was really fun! Her whole family is really awesome.

This morning, I went swimming in the pool in the backyard. Flor had to work, but she came home in time for us to go shopping! I bought an outfit to wear to Gabi and Fer’s wedding tomorrow night. Then we ate dinner with her family. Afterward, we had the welcome party for the new semester students. (Even though they have already been here for a month... LOL) Oh well. It was nice to get to meet some of them. They seem pretty nice. There is a big group from Clemson, but I also met some kids from other places.

Today for lunch we had an asado at Flor’s house. Her other grandmother came, along with her cousins Paula and Mauro. Mauro is 3, and is absolutely precious. After lunch, I went to see Gabi at her house. She and Fernando finished the seating chart for the reception this afternoon while I was there. It was so good to see them! Seba and Nico, her brothers, were there “helping” along with her mom. I only got to see Vero for a few minutes because she had Valentina sleeping in the car. Vero hand-made the wedding cake, and it was absolutely GORGEOUS!

After I saw them, I came home to get ready for the wedding. Flor helped me do my hair and make-up, and it came out really pretty! Then she dropped me off at the church. I met up with Ceci and Lucas outside, so I sat with them. The church service was short, about 45 mins long. Valentina was the ring-bearer, she was so cute! Then we all went to the reception. It was so much fun! Loooong. I sat at a table with Renee, Graciela’s former host student from Canada, and her sister Dominique. Laura Peterson, Graciela’s host student this time. Cintia (Cynthia), who studied at med school with Gabi, and her husband Cristian. They live in La Rioja. Then two other couples that I didn’t really talk to. We had a three course dinner over the course of about 4 hours. At 5:00 am they did the toast and cut the cake, and we all danced around with crazy foam party hats. Then I came home, but the party was definitely still going! You should check out the pictures.
